Town Proven lists the tradies, firms, clinics and shops that have served a town the longest, by sector and for the town as a whole. The year is each business’s own statement on its website and is not checked against a register.
Age alone says nothing about quality, so only businesses rated 4.0 or better from at least 10 Google reviews are listed. Lists are refreshed on the first of each month.
Town Proven ranks the businesses of each Australian town, and each sector of them, by the year they started as their own websites state it, earliest first, among those rated 4.0 or better from at least 10 Google reviews.
Town Proven is run by the Town Proven team and has been published since 14 October 2026. It lists 22,054 businesses in 1,521 lists, with figures as of October 2026.
Ratings, review counts and opening hours come from Google Business Profiles. The year a business started, and the jobs it does, come from its own website.
